Equity Trustees UK managing director Harvey Kalman to depart

Longtime Equity Trustees executive Harvey Kalman is set to leave the organisation in the coming months.

The move was announced by the company in an external email.

"Given the long and productive relationship Harvey has had with Equity Trustees in building our successful corporate and fund services business, options are being explored for Harvey to maintain a connection with Equity Trustees," wrote executive general manager of corporate trustee services Russell Beasley.

Kalman, who joined Equity Trustees in 1999, became the managing director for UK and Europe and global head of business development in September of 2020. He was previously in Beasley's role, as EGM of corporate trustee services. Before joining EQT, Kalman spent time with KPMG as an associate director of its managed investments and superannuation group and in advisory roles with ANZ Funds Management. As a director, Kalman has been a director and chair with the Menzies Foundation and sat on the Legal Services Board.

Equity Trustees MD Mick O'Brien said, "We warmly thank Harvey for just over two decades of incredible service building a successful Corporate Trustee Services business, including taking the business into the UK and Ireland, and wish him all the best for the future".

While Kalman has confirmed his departure he has not said where he is headed next.
