Equip Senior Portfolio Manager departs

Senior portfolio manager, Andrew McQueen, has confirmed his departure from Equip after eight years in the role.

His departure comes off the back of the restructure of the investment team at the $7.5 billion fund, in an effort to place greater emphasis on asset allocation and liability risk - a decision which also saw the departure of long-standing chief investment officer Michael Strachan.

Commenting on his departure, McQueen told Industry Moves that he would be staying in the field of equity portfolio management and is "looking at a few interesting opportunities."
