E&P Financial Group's finance director is stepping down from the role at the end of the financial year, and a replacement promoted from within.

Stephen Hill, who also serves as joint company secretary, will be replaced by Robert Darwell, the director of corporate finance and strategy.

Ben Keeble, E&P chief executive, thanked Hill for his significant contribution to the firm since he joined nine years ago.

"While we are saddened Stephen is leaving, we know that he leaves behind a high-performing finance function, and we wish him the best with his future endeavours," he said.

Hill joined the E&P group as financial controller before becoming deputy finance chief three years ago. He was appointed chief financial officer and joint company one year later.

He arrived from London-based Mutual Insurance Europe, where he worked as head of operational finance.

Before that, he spent seven years at KPMG.

E&P noted that Mike Adams will also continue as joint company secretary and general counsel.

As for the incoming finance chief, Keeble said Darwell's skills and experience will complement the company through its next growth phase of growth.

Darwell also joined the firm nine years ago as an analyst before branching out into corporate development, investor relations, planning and analysis and broader group strategy.

E&P once owned Dixon Advisory, which entered voluntary administration last year as directors thought it would likely become insolvent.

Since 1 July 2022, E&P Wealth has been shifting its Dixon Advisory private clients into a new division of Retail Wealth Management.
