Deutsche Bank sales director heads to Munich Re

Former Deutsche Bank (DWS Group) director of sales Alex Francois has moved to Munich Re to head up business development for Australia and New Zealand. He'll be responsible for market exploration and regional development of the investment management business, focusing on reinsurance capabilities to insurers and superannuation funds.

Before DWS, Francois held senior roles with William Blair Investment Management, Principal Global Investors, and Schroders.

Munich Re Financial Solutions managing director Moritz Seibert said Francois' hire is part of the larger plans for bringing the savings and investments business to Australia and New Zealand. "We are privileged to have Alex on board from the start of this journey, benefiting from his leadership, experience and deep market knowledge."
