Departure at UniSuper as restructure announced

UniSuper has announced several changes to the fund's executive leadership team, including the departure of executive manager, marketing & product, Tim Anderson.

Anderson joined the $70 billion fund in 2011 and has been responsible for leading its marketing, brand, communications, education, corporate affairs and product teams.

Also leaving UniSuper is executive manager, program management, Nick Drohan.

Commenting on the departees, CEO Kevin O'Sullivan said that "Tim and Nick have made exceptional contributions to the fund's enviable position" and that he wishes them "all the best for the future".

He added: "I am enormously grateful for Tim's work over the last eight years building our strong brand, award-winning product suite and digital strategy."

In other changes, Anna Leibel, who has been leading the fund's technology division since March 2017, has been appointed to the newly-created role of chief technology & delivery officer. The fund is also recruiting for the newly-created roles of chief commercial officer and chief operating officer.

The new structure, which the fund said is in response to "the abundance of change occurring within both the super and the higher education sectors", becomes effective during May 2019.
