Danish AP Pension has appointed a new chief investment officer to continue its history of sustainable investment and delivering competitive returns.
Pernille Jessen - who has a background in sustainable investment - replaces Rasmus Cederholm, who left to join Danish asset manager Formuepleje in the same role.
For the past year, Jessen has been co-chief investment officer at AkademikerPension and spent six years running fixed income and credit before that.

AP was the first commercial pension fund in Denmark to launch investment products dedicated to responsible and sustainable development.
Jessen called it a wise move adding that today all the commercial companies have a similar offer for their customers, so it has become a real competitive parameter.
But, the incoming chief investment officer noted that the fund delivered competitive returns.
"My task will therefore not be to revolutionise but to ensure continued development by building on the strong foundation that the investment team already stands on," she said.
AP Pension chief executive Bo Normann Rasmussen said the pension fund had come a long way on the sustainable agenda and has ambitions to develop further.
"We have a well-functioning and stable investment team, which has proven time and time again that it is capable of creating good, long-term returns for customers. "Here, Pernille brings knowledge and experience that fits in well."
