Timothy Foy will join Credit Suisse Australia as managing director and head of infrastructure for Australia.

He joins from Jefferies, where he held a similar role.

Previously, Foy worked for RBC Capital Markets and Rothschild.

The Swiss banking giant noted Foy's track record of successful origination and execution of high-profile infrastructure transactions in Australia.

In the last 18 months, he has advised on OMER's acquisition of a stake in Transgrid, Australian Super's sale of a stake in Ausgrid, its acquisition of Optus Towers and Australian Tower Network's acquisition of Axicom.

Other high-profile transactions include advising Aware Super on the acquisition of the NSW Land Registry and of the Victorian Land Titles Registry, the sale of Sunshine Coast Airport and the Hastings Consortium's purchase of Transgrid.

"Tim will work closely with our regional and global infrastructure coverage team. Infrastructure is an important sector, which will continue to be a source of large-scale M&A and institutional investment," said Credit Suisse's local co-head of investment banking & capital markets, Angelo Scasserra.
