Countplus has announced that independent director Ray Kellerman will succeed long-serving chair Barry Lambert who is retiring as chair but will stay on as a director in the short term.

In announcing his successor, Lambert said Kellerman has "extensive knowledge of, and deep experience in, financial services through a number of roles at Perpetual Trustees, Credit Suisse Asset Management and ClearView Wealth."

He added: "Ray is an experienced chairman and board director, and he brings extensive knowledge of the regulatory requirements of listed companies and financial markets. Ray is also active in a number of governance related roles for some major fund managers operating in Australia."

Kellerman currently sits on the boards of Goodman Funds Management Australia, Foundation Life New Zealand and Ryder Capital. He is also an owner and executive director of Quentin Ayers, an implemented asset adviser in private markets.
