CountPlus has hired Raelene Hinchliffe as the firm's new group head of people and culture.

Hinchliffe joins from the professional services firm Marsh McLennan where she served as the senior people partner.

The bulk of her career was spent at the Commonwealth Bank and AMP, where she served as a human capital executive for five and ten years, respectively.

Early on, she worked as a human resources advisor at News Corp Australia.

CountPlus chief executive officer Hugh Humphrey said Hinchliffe's appointment would deliver significant strategic benefits to its national community of member firms.

"Raelene is a fantastic addition to our business and will spearhead leadership development and the deepening of the culture and capability of our people," he said.

"We are a growing network of more than 3,400 people and the people & culture function has never been more important to our strategy."

Hinchliffe said she was keen to take on role that would help shape and grow CountPlus.

"The opportunity to work with a leadership team and a board that is committed to making a difference in the lives of the people they employ and partner with is very exciting," she added.
