Lisa Chambers has landed at CountPlus as chief risk officer after running one of Australia's leading private trustee companies.

The adviser network said the risk specialist brings significant commercial risk expertise and a strategic mindset, having held several senior leadership roles in financial services.

Most recently, Chambers served as the general manager at Australian Executor Trustees. There, she led the team that sold the business to Insignia from Equity Trustees in 2022 for $135 million.

Before that, Chambers worked at National Australia Bank, Commonwealth Bank, Colonial First State and BT.

At NAB, she spent nearly three years as the general manager of advice, quality, and governance.

Chambers arrived at the lender from CBA where she ran financial planning before being appointed executive manager of wealth management advice.

CountPlus chief executive Hugh Humphrey called her appointment "a terrific outcome" for the business.

"Lisa has a deep understanding of the advisory profession, which is vitally important given the magnitude of work we're doing to deliver for our member firms and their clients," he said.

"CountPlus is an outstanding business with a culture built around its clients," Chambers said.

"I'm looking forward to this new challenge and working with a leadership team focused on delivering positive financial outcomes for more Australians."
