Countplus announces new CEO

Countplus has announced the appointment of Matthew Rowe as chief executive officer and managing director, effective 24 February 2017.

Rowe was appointed as a director of Countplus in October 2016 and was formerly the longest serving chair of the Financial Planning Association of Australia. He was also managing director of South Australian independent financial planning practice Hood Sweeney.

He replaces Phillip Aris, who announced his resignation on 23 February 2017. Aris had been the firm's CEO and managing director since January 2015 and prior to that was the CEO of Countplus' largest subsidiary Total Financial Solutions.
