Adrian Hondros has confirmed to Industry Moves that he has stepped down from his role as executive general manager for Commonwealth Private to take up a role outside of the finance industry. He has also stepped down as an employer representative director of the Commonwealth Group Super board.

Hondros is set to start in his new role as chief executive at homebuilder Porter Davis on 3 October 2016.

Hondros started at CBA in 2009 and says "after more than seven successful years leading Commonwealth Private it was time for a new challenge. CBA has been very supportive."

Commenting on his new move, Hondros said that real estate had always been an interest of his.

"I was raised in a household that was involved in residential property...Porter Davis is a quality organisation and progressive in building quality homes for its customers with a mantra of 'Respect the Dream'. I'm very attracted to this approach."

Hondros has been replaced by Marianne Perkovic, former CBA executive general manager - wealth management advice, who took up the role in July 2016.
