ClearView appoints internally for Head of Distribution Strategy role

Listed financial services firm, ClearView, has appointed Kathryn Williamson to the newly-created role of head of distribution strategy, effective February 2018.

According to ClearView, Williamson is responsible for "expanding the group's relationships in the independent financial adviser (IFA) market and driving deeper adviser engagement." She will also focus on building support for ClearView's life insurance and wealth management solutions, and work closely with the group's product, operations and marketing teams.

Since March 2014, Williamson has worked as ClearView's state manager for NSW/ACT. Prior to this, she held financial planning roles at CBA and ANZ, and worked in life insurance distribution at CommInsure and MLC.

Commenting on her new role, ClearView's GM distribution, Christopher Blaxland-Walker, said: "For the past four years, Kathryn has excelled as state manager NSW/ACT, building and managing a high calibre team and taking our flagship life insurance product, LifeSolutions, to the IFA market. She is ideally-positioned and qualified to help drive and execute ClearView's ongoing distribution strategy."

ClearView has confirmed that recruitment is underway for a new state manager for NSW/ACT and that Williamson will retain responsibility for the role until a replacement is found.
