Citi Australia appoints product head

Citi Australia has appointed Justin Burman as its product head for fund services. Burman will sit in the securities services team.

Burman comes across from RBC following a client transfer agreement that was finalised in March of this year. He brings with him more than 25 years' experience in financial services. Before joining RBC in 2018 he spent several years with BNP Paribas as head of product.

"Australia is a key market for the Securities Services business, and we have been growing at a rapid rate in 2020, both in terms of gaining new clients and building out our local team to deliver on our industry leaving platforms, proprietary custody network, and excellent client servicing," said Citi Australia's head of securities services Martin Carpenter.

"We have successfully transitioned a significant portion of the RBC client base despite the challenges of this year's global pandemic. Justin's appointment will help us maintain this strong momentum and ensure that we have the right management structure to support our expanded client base."
