Citi Australia appoints markets and securities vice chair

Citi Australia has appointed Sara McKerihan as vice chair for markets and securities services for Australia and New Zealand.

McKerihan comes to Australia from Citi's New York office. Her focus will be on growing the bank's strategic relationships with traditional asset managers, hedged funds, and sovereign funds in Australia and New Zealand.

Citi's head of markets and securities, Luke Randell, said they were excited to welcome McKerihan to the Australian franchise. "Sara brings a unique combination of senior level client experience, extensive knowledge of Citi's products and services and people management skills acquired in an international setting over the past 25 years.

"During her career with Citi, Sara's held key positions in our global sales and trading organisation, most recently in Markets Relationship Management for Citi's largest investor clients. Sarah's experience and insight will be welcomed by our clients as they continue to navigate heightened market volatility caused by the pandemic."

Before joining Citi, McKerihan held sales roles at Salomon Brothers in non-US dollar markets.
