Chris King joins Columbia Threadneedle

A former First Sentier sales executive has landed at Columbia Threadneedle Investments as head of wholesale Australia.

In the new role, Chris King will lead Columbia Threadneedle's continued growth into the Australian wholesale intermediary sector, focusing on implementing a strategy for future growth into new market segments.

King joins from Pallas Capital, where he did a five-month stint as head of wealth distribution following his departure from First Sentier, where he served as head of investment sales and key accounts.

He spent nearly  three years at First Sentier as well as a further two years at Colonial First State Global Asset Management.

Before his five years with Colonial First State Global Asset Management, King worked at Colonial First State as a national sales manager for nine years.

Back in 2006, he worked for Aberdeen Asset Managers, now abdr as a business development manager.
