Charter Hall Direct has made a series of new appointments to grow its distribution team as it records a record year of capital flows into its suite of unlisted property funds.

Renee Oldfield joins as state distribution manager for Western Australia and South Australia, from Acure Asset manager where she was national distribution manager.

She has had more than 20 years of industry experience. She has worked at Macquarie Bank, Aspen Group, and FIIG Securities.

Also, Paul Ramsay will take on the role of state distribution manager for Victoria and Tasmania. He joins the team from Franklin Templeton, where he was a key account manager. Before that, he was national manager-strategy investments at Australian Unity Wealth.

The third new hire is Mark Weingarth who joins as state distribution manager for New South Wales. He comes from Macquarie Group where he led the sales and distribution strategy for digital portfolio management and managed accounts.

The other two hires are internal. Craig Harding and Marco Triani - who have been with Charter Hall for more than five years - will also join the distribution team.

Harding will run business development in Queensland and Northern Territory. Triani has will take on the role of key account manager based in New South Wales.

Led by Scott McLennan as head of distribution, the expansion of the distribution team reflects the strong growth of Charter Hall's Direct business from $3 billion to over $8 billion since 2018.

"The state-based distribution team is designed to better service our growing adviser community in all states and territories," he said.

"Having our team located close to our clients means we can work collaboratively together to further enhance client outcomes in terms of both service and product offerings."
