Channel Capital appoints Distribution Director
Channel Capital, a multi-boutique funds management firm, has announced the appointment of Byron Slessar as the firm's distribution director, responsible for building adviser and family office relationships for its specialist investment manager partners, effective January 2018.
In this newly-created role, Slessar is responsible for looking after dealer groups and IFAs in New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.
He joins Channel Capital with over ten years' financial services experience across distribution, risk management and accounting. Most recently, he was a sales director for Janus Henderson Investors, servicing wholesale clients and intermediaries, a role he was promoted to in September 2017. Slessar was one of Henderson's first employees in Sydney, having joined the firm in 2013. Prior to this, he was an assistant manager with KPMG Sydney.
Joining him at Channel Capital is fellow-new hire Angela Dovitsas, who has been appointed to the role of head of marketing, communications and content.
