Date: December 2016
Position: Chair

VicSuper has announced that Bruce Hartnett has stepped down from his role as chair of the fund's board, effective 31 December 2016.

Hartnett joined the VicSuper board in 2004 and in 2009 was appointed as deputy chair. In July 2014 he took over from Barbara Norris as chair.

Hartnett is currently a board member of the RACV Club, chair of Odyssey House Victoria and the council of the School for Student Leadership, a residential, transformational experience for year 9 students in State Government schools.

Commenting on what's next for him, Hartnett said that while he is not actively seeking any new board positions he has recently taken on the role as chair of the Judicial Entitlements Panel.

"In taking on this role it has been wonderful to be exposed to some of the greatest legal minds, namely Chief Justice Marilyn Warren."

VicSuper has announced that Christine Stewart will succeed Hartnett as chair, effective January 2017.
