CFSGAM appoints Head of Research - AE Core

Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) has confirmed the appointment of Tim King to the newly-created role of head of research - Australian equities, core. Reporting to the head of Australian equities core, Matthew Reynolds, King will commence in the role in mid-July and will be responsible for the team's intensive research process and some stock coverage.

Commenting on the appointment, CFSGAM said: "Tim's blend of expertise in performing outstanding company research, leading analyst teams and integrating responsible investment principles into investment approaches and company research makes him ideally suited to make a valuable contribution to the Core team's investment philosophy and process."

King joins CFSGAM from his role as head of advisory at governance research and engagement firm Regnan. Prior to this, he was MD and head of company research and ESG research at Deutsche Bank Australia.
