CEO of Hastings to join CBA

Terry Winder will join the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) as group treasurer, effective March 2018.

Winder is currently the CEO of Hastings Funds Management, a role he was appointed to in October 2017, and was previously the chief financial officer of Westpac.

Winder has 30 years' experience in Australian and international financial markets, having lived and worked in London, Tokyo and Sydney, for organisations such as Merrill Lynch, UBS and Bankers Trust.

At CBA, he will replace Paolo Tonucci who is returning to the United Kingdom following four years in the role.

A spokesperson for Hastings has confirmed that Winder will remain as CEO until he takes on his new position in March and that a replacement will be named in due course.
