Cbus hires from AustralianSuper

Cbus Super has confirmed the appointment of Matthew Moore as a senior portfolio manager within the Australian equities team.

Moore has strong expertise across all asset classes in fund manager research, portfolio design and investment strategy, with extensive knowledge in the construction and management of listed equity multi-manager portfolios.

Former First State Super listed equities portfolio manager joins from Australia Super where he worked as an associate portfolio manager for two years.

Moore departed First State in 2020 following its merger with VicSuper.

He has previously also held roles with Health Super (which merged with First State in 2012) and Frontier where he was an associate.

Moore was with First State Super for more than 10 years.

"Matthew is well regarded in the industry, and we are looking forward to him being a strong contributor to the investment team," said Cbus Super head of equity manager selection and portfolio construction Myooran Mahalingam.

Mahalingam was promoted to his current role just two months ago from senior portfolio manager of global equities and emerging markets.

He arrived at Cbus Super last November from MLC Asset Management where he spent 21 years.
