Cbus expands in-house investment capability with new hire

As part of Cbus' new investment strategy, which was announced in August 2016, the fund has added to its in-house investment team with the appointment of Morten Frederiksen as a portfolio manager, effective 16 January 2017.

Frederiksen joins the Internal Equities team with over 15 years' experience in global equities and funds management across Europe, Asia and Australia. His most recent role was with Silvermills Capital where he was a director. He has also worked for various investment management firms including: Aegon (Edinburgh), Scottish Widows (Edinburgh), Maple Brown Abbott (Sydney) and Manulife (Hong Kong).

Commenting on his appointment, executive manager, investment strategy, Kristian Fok, said: "We are delighted to have Morten join us as we build and execute our internal equity strategies. Attracting such an experienced and talented individual puts us in a great position as we expand our internal capabilities to deliver results for our members over the longer term."
