Cbus appoints Senior Equities Research Analyst

Cbus has announced that Ramanan Sooriyakumar has joined its investment strategy team in the newly-created role of senior equities research analyst. In the new role, he will be primarily focused on the development of the proposed internal equities strategies, as well as providing additional support for manager research and dynamic asset allocation functions.

Sooriyakumar has over 14 years' experience in the financial services industry, of which more than 12 years have been within the investments industry focusing on equities research. He joins Cbus, the $32 billion super fund for the construction and building industries, from Goldman Sachs where he was an executive director and lead equities research analyst within the ASX Industrials sector. Prior to this, he held roles at BOA Merrill Lynch, Amba Research and HSBC.

He will be based in the Melbourne office working with Kiran Singh, manager equities.
