Industry fund Cbus has appointed former BlackRock HR exec Kristin Miller as its new group executive for people and culture.

The role is a return to Australia for Miller, who has spent the last 15 years in Hong Kong. She was most recently the group head of human resources for Noble Group and held senior HR roles with BlackRock, AllianceBernstein, Morgan Stanley, and Macquarie Group.

Cbus CEO Justin Arter says he's pleased to welcome Miller to the fund's leadership team. "Kristin will bring our Executive extensive international and local experience in people and culture roles where she has successfully led teams to deliver cultural and operational transformation.

"As Cbus continues its transformation process of building greater direct control of our investment activities and of our member and employer advice and services, Kristin will lead the positioning of our people at Cbus for the continuation of that transformation."

Arter says the role has been elevated to the group executive level, reflecting the importance the fund puts on people and culture as a driver for its success.

Miller says she's delighted to join the Cbus executive team. "I believe that with Cbus' strong member-focused culture and depth of talent, we are well-positioned to take advantage of the many opportunities ahead of us."
