CareSuper has appointed a former TelstraSuper executive to the newly created role of chief experience officer and named the new chief risk officer.

Further, the $20 billion super fund has added Jean-Luc Ambrosi and Christine Nguyen to the leadership team.

As chief experience officer, Jean-Luc Ambrosi is responsible for leading the digital, engagement and customer experience functions within Care Super, including member communication, member education, insurance and advice.

He joins from TelstraSuper, where he served as the executive general manager of marketing and digital for the past eight years.

Before this, he held several leadership roles with Vanguard, BlackRock and National Australia Bank.

CareSuper's chief executive Julie Lander explained that the chief experience team will support the fund's growth ambitions whilst meeting the needs of existing members and helping them achieve their best possible outcomes in retirement.

Lander noted that Ambrosi will work alongside Tas Tzoulis, the fund's head of digital and engagement, Jinglu McLay head of customer experience and Michael Rooney, who runs insurance.

Also, joining the experience team is Ashley McAuliffe as head of advice.

He arrived from Mercer Financial Advice where he was practice manager for Victoria.

Meanwhile, Nguyen has been promoted to chief risk officer, replacing Belinda Ray, who departed in March.

Earlier, Nguyen worked in risk-related roles at AwareSuper, VicSuper, Mercer, Insurance Australia Group AIA Australia and PwC Australia.

'We are delighted to welcome Jean-Luc and Christine to CareSuper's executive leadership team," added Lander.

"Both are highly accomplished in their field, and I am confident that they will bring fresh perspectives and augment the strategic thinking of the fund as CareSuper embarks on the next phase of its growth."
