Capital hires regional product head

The US$2.7 trillion Capital Group has appointed Kat Ferris to the newly created role of head of product development for Asia and Europe.

As Australia is part of Capital's Asian team, Ferris will oversee product development, governance, and product management here.

Her responsibilities will include supervising new fund launches across equity, fixed income, and multi-asset as the firm expands its offering for investors across the region.

Ferris joins from Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where she was most recently head of international product.

Before joining Morgan Stanley eleven years ago, she worked as a product and business development manager at Robeco.

Ferris said she is looking forward to expanding the firm's equity, fixed income, and multi-asset strategies for both institutional and retail investors across Asia and Europe.
