Women in Super has appointed Robbie Campo as its new chair, as Kara Keys steps down from the role.

Campo is also the chair of ESSSuper and was previously group executive - brand, engagement, advocacy and product at Cbus.

"I am so honoured to be leading the committee and hard-working women on the board of WIS," Campo said.

"Women in Super plays a critical role in the superannuation industry providing a voice to improve financial security to Australian women, and to promote development and networking for women in the super industry."

Camp said an immediate focus would be on fixing the Low Income Super Tax Offset inequality, so that low income workers, the majority of whom are women, weren't the only Australians paying more tax on their super than they are on their income.

Women in Super chief executive officer, Jo Kowalczyk, thanked Kara Keys for her contribution to the superannuation industry over a number of years.

"Robbie Campo brings unparalleled experience and dedication to the role, and I very much look forward to working with Robbie to advance our policy agenda. We are single minded in our determination to tackle gendered inequalities in superannuation," Kowalczyk said.
