SMSF education expert launches new business

David Busoli has confirmed to Industry Moves that he has aquired boutique SMSF administrator, SMSF Alliance, effective February 2018.

SMSF Alliance aims to offer strategic admin to SMSF advisers, combining SMSF strategies with the documentation, legal, technical, processing and reporting requirements to achieve client goals.

As practice principal & SMSF mentor, Busoli is responsible for the implementation of the firm's new focus.

Most recently, Busoli was the executive manager for SMSF education at SuperConcepts, a role he left in September 2017. Prior to this, he worked at Cavendish Super before it was acquired by AMP. In early 2016 his role became part of the SuperConcepts brand which includes all of AMP's SMSF offerings including SuperIQ, Cavendish Super, Justsuper, Multipart and SuperMate.

The current tech team manager at SMSF Alliance, Debbie Thomas, and general manager, Emma Walker, will remain.

Commenting on his new venture, Busoli said: "Whilst we embrace all the advantages of the new technologies we will be working against the trend to industrialise SMSF processing by maintaining a high level technical overlay throughout. We also offer a full suite of alternative investment structure administration to cater for the demand sparked by the super reforms."
