BTIM CEO to lead Global Executive Committee

BT Investment Management (BTIM) has announced the establishment of a global executive committee 'to provide leadership and management bandwidth to enable the continued growth of the business'.

BTIM CEO, Emilio Gonzalez, who joined the firm in January 2010 from Perpetual, has been appointed to lead the committee as group chief executive officer and managing director.

The other committee members are: group chief financial officer, Cameron Williamson (Australia-based); and group executive, J O Hambro Capital Management group chief executive officer, Gavin Rochussen (UK-based). A search is also currently underway for a group chief risk officer; and a group executive, BTIM (Australia) chief executive officer.

Commenting on the changes, Gonzalez said: "I look forward to working with my team to advance our next phase of growth. We will continue our investment in talent as the business expands and grows, and in order to pursue our objectives of delivering strong long-term investment returns and services to clients."
