BTIM appoints Head of Responsible Investment

BT Investment Management (BTIM) has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Edwina Matthew as the firm's head of responsible investment, effective 17 October 2016.

Matthew worked with BT between 1993-2000 in Sydney and New York in the currency and global fixed income group. She then worked with Credit Suisse First Boston and later with Goldman Sachs' currency division in New York.

Prior to that, she was the senior vice-president, currency overlay and global fixed income for BT Funds Management from 1993-2000, in both Sydney and New York.

Commenting on her appointment, BTIM Australia CEO, Michael Bargholz, said: "Edwina's background in financial services, both domestically and internationally, and her passion for ESG will allow BTIM to continue to build our leadership position in responsible investing and recognises our ongoing commitment to supporting research in this area."
