BTIM appoints Chief Risk Officer

BT Investment Management (BTIM) has announced the appointment of Mark Coles as the new chief risk officer for the firm, effective 13 March 2017.

Coles joins with over 20 years' experience in banking, investments, asset management, structuring private equity transactions and acquisitions across a number of jurisdictions including the US, UK and Australia. In his most recent role, Coles was the chief risk and compliance officer for State Bank of India.

Prior to that he was head of risk management for Australia & New Zealand and corporate operational risk officer for J.P. Morgan where he was responsible for a team providing credit, asset management and risk management advice for J.P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank and Investor Services. Prior to his role at J.P. Morgan he was the Asia Pacific head of risk for Credit Suisse Asset Management.
