BT Financial Group (BTFG) has announced the appointment of Kathy Vincent as general manager - platforms and investments, effective 25 July 2018.

She will replace John Shuttleworth who is leaving BTFG after 14 years' service.

In her new role, Vincent will be responsible for leading BT's platforms business, which includes Asgard, BT Wrap and BT's flagship, Panorama platform. She will also oversee BT's specialist investment services.

Vincent is currently general manager, wealth products and platforms at NAB, a role she was appointed to in February 2015. She is responsible for leading MLC's retail wrap, mastertrust, and asset management product business.

She has 25 years' industry experience and, prior to joining NAB in 2012, she spent 18 years with Macquarie, notably as the head of co-investments for Macquarie Global Investments.

Commenting on her appointment at BTFG, CEO, Brad Cooper, said: "Kathy's leadership skills and extensive experience in product management and strategy, across platforms, superannuation and investments will be a real asset to our business and will help us continue to deliver market-leading platforms and investments solutions to our customers."

An exact departure date for Shuttleworth is unknown. He will stay with the firm to provide a handover to Vincent to ensure for a smooth transition.
