BT sales executive lands at CFS

A longstanding BT Financial Group executive has joined Colonial First State in the newly created role of executive director - new business

Chris Mather - who worked at BT for 13 years - will also join the leadership team.

During that time, Mather held several senior distribution roles within the group including regional manager, BT Platforms: Asgard & BT wrap, and key account manager - wrap.

Most recently he served as head of distribution.

"Chris is an accomplished financial services executive and senior leader with over 20 years' experience in Australia and the UK," said CFS's group executive distribution Bryce Quirk in an internal memo.

"Chris has held a range of senior distribution roles within BT Financial Group, most recently as Head of Distribution. Chris will bring deep experience in practice transformation, tech and managed account adoption, and a demonstrated capability in building and leading teams and change management.

"Chris' experience will help drive CFS' expansion into new channels and markets. With the upcoming launch of Edge in Q1 next year, Chris joins CFS at the perfect time."
