BT bolsters platforms team

BT has appointed Kathryn Cosentino to the newly created role of head of product management in its platforms business.

Cosentino joins from Insignia Financial - formerly IOOF Holdings - where she most recently ran wrap platforms.

The financial services giant also said Cosentino would work alongside the platforms and investment leadership team, including the newly created role of head of strategy and product development that has yet to be confirmed.

BT noted that with 22 years in platforms product and operations roles, Cosentini brought with her experience leading through significant change, including MLC's merger with IOOF.

"Kathryn is a well-regarded and highly disciplined leader and joins BT at an exciting time as we shape the BT of the future and continue to invest in the contemporary BT Panorama platform," said Kathy Vincent, BT's managing director, platforms and investments.

Vincent added that Cosentino has an impressive track record in putting advisers and their clients first.

BT has more than $130 billion in funds under administration.

Daniela De Zotti - the head of platform management and implementation -  has run product management while BT searched for a recruit.
