Kieran Varcoe has joined BT as its new head of platforms.
"I am delighted that someone with Kieran's experience will be joining our leadership team," said BT MD Kathy Vincent. "His expertise aligns well with our strategic priorities and will be critical as we continue delivering strategic growth of Australia's leading platforms business.
"Kieran's proven experience in leading simplification programs, managing large-scale platforms teams and operations, and deep industry knowledge will be an asset to BT," said Vincent.
Varcoe comes from Rest where he was GM of administration solutions and governance. He spent the bulk of his career with NAB, most recently as head of MLC's MasterKey platform. "Kieran made a huge contribution to Rest, coordinating our administration operations during a critical time for the fund, if not industry, including market volatility during the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic and the early release of super scheme," said Rest's product and operations group executive Brendan Daly.
Varcoe replaces Dina Kotsopoulos, who left the group in late 2020.
Rest has appointed David Madden to fill the GM role left vacant by Varcoe's departure.
