APPOINTMENT
BANK OF QUEENSLAND LIMITED
Date: October 2019
Position: Chair

Bank of Queensland (BOQ) has announced the appointment of Patrick Allaway as the bank's new chair, effective October 2019.

Allaway, who joined the BOQ board as an independent director on 1 May 2019, will succeed retiring chair Roger Davis following the release of BOQ's full-year results.

Allaway has more than 30 years' experience in financial services across financial markets, capital markets, and corporate advisory. This included serving as Managing Director of SBC Capital Markets & Treasury and an advisory role in the media sector, responding to "considerable digital disruption," BOQ said.

Currently, he serves as a non‐executive director of Nine Entertainment Co and Domain Limited and previously served on the boards of Macquarie Goodman Industrial Trust, Metcash Limited and Woolworths South Africa.

Commenting on his appointment, Allaway said: "I am grateful for the trust placed in me by the Board. I look forward to working with the Board and Management to ensure we deliver long‐term value creation for customers and shareholders."

Davis added that he was "delighted" with the board's selection of Allaway and his role to "facilitate BOQ's strategic agenda, including the ongoing digital transformation of the bank."
