BNY Mellon Investment Management head of country departs

BNY Mellon Investment Management's Australian country head, Phil Filippelis, has left the organisation.

A spokesperson confirmed the departure to Industry Moves. "We thank Phil for his contribution to our Australian investment management business and wish him the very best."

The spokesperson said they are reviewing their structure to continue growth in the superannuation market, and have appointed Denis Gambi into the country head role in an interim capacity.

Filippelis joined BNY Mellon Investment Management in early 2015 from Angelo, Gordon & Co. where he was managing director. Before that, he was the Australian managing director and country head for Société Générale for more than eight years.
