BNP Paribas expands sales team

BNP Paribas Asset Management Australia has added two business development managers to its wholesale distribution team.

Zaffar Subedar is a senior business development manager based in Sydney, and Naz Hoosen is a business development manager based in Melbourne.

Both will report to Thira Ngoeun, head of wholesale distribution for Australia and New Zealand.

Together with Ngoeun, the recruits will be responsible for growing funds under management for BNP AM Australia by working closely with dealer groups, private wealth firms, family offices, consultant and research houses, platform providers and other key influencers in the market.

Subedar joins from einvest, where he worked as an investment specialist.

Previous roles include national business development manager at Katana Asset Management and national manager of research and platforms at Australian Unity Wealth.

He was also a senior investment analyst at MLC, vice president of client business at BlackRock and research analyst at AMP.

For his part, Hoosen joins from MLC, where he served as a business development manager super and investments for nearly seven years.
Earlier, he worked at Insignia Financial in a similar role.

Commenting on the recent appointments, the firm's chief executive David Grybas said: " We are delighted to have two highly experienced industry professionals join our Australian wholesale distribution team.
