Blue Sky appoints former Perpetual Group Exec to its Board

Blue Sky Alternative Investments Limited (Blue Sky) has announced the appointment of Michael Gordon as an independent board director, effective February 2017.

Gordon has over thirty years' experience in the financial services and funds management industry, most recently as group executive for Perpetual Investments, a role he left in February 2016. At Perpetual he was responsible for over $30 billion of FUM for institutional and retail clients.

Prior to Perpetual, he held roles as global chief investment officer (CIO) at BNP Paribas Investment Partners in London, global CIO at Fidelity International worldwide and as joint managing director and CIO for Schroders in Australia.

In addition to his role as an independent director of Blue Sky, Gordon will chair Blue Sky's Nomination and Remuneration Committee as well as serving as a member of Blue Sky's Audit Committee.

Gordon is to be joined on the board by Philip Hennessy, former Queensland chair of KPMG.
