BlackRock merges distribution teams and names Head of Client Business

BlackRock Australia has announced the amalgamation of its institutional and retail distribution teams in Australia, along with news that Jason Collins will step into the role of head of client business for the firm.

Collins was previously the head of Australia institutional client business, for BlackRock. In his new role, he will partner with head of iShares, Jon Howie and relationship manager for BlackRock Solutions, James Crozier. Together, they will develop outcome-focused strategies for the firm's clients.

Commenting on the changes, Collins said: "Bringing together the institutional and retail distribution teams will allow us to explore synergies between the two disciplines and think through new ways of serving our clients in Australia."
