BlackRock expands iShares team with new hire

As part of the expansion of its iShares business team in Australia, BlackRock has appointed Joshua Persky to the newly created role of sales strategist - model portfolios and solutions. Persky has more than 10 years' experience in portfolio analysis, consulting and business development. He joins BlackRock from MSCI New York where he was senior relationship manager hedge fund sales and MSCI index sales. Prior to leaving Australia for the US, Persky held senior roles in relationship management and as a private wealth adviser. In his new role, based in Sydney, he will work closely with the distribution and marketing teams to engage clients - including institutions, dealer groups, researchers and financial advisers.
