BlackRock COO to leave role

BlackRock has confirmed to Financial Standard that COO Shane Flatman will vacate the role.

BlackRock general council and board member, Alison Telfer, will take over COO as well as the newly-created head of public policy position.

Flatman has been with BlackRock for just over five years. Before joining as COO, he was the head of financial markets for Westpac and was a senior VP for Lehman Brothers in New York, Tokyo, and Sydney.
