BetaShares appoints Manager - Distribution

ETF manager BetaShares has appointed Adam O'Connor to the role of manager - distribution.

O'Connor was previously an associate adviser at Bell Potter Securities, where he focussed on ASX-listed equities and ETFs.

O'Connor will be joined at BetaShares by fellow new recruit and former senior analyst for the Reserve Bank of Australia, Chamath De Silva, who has been appointed as an assistant portfolio manager.

Commenting on De Silva and O'Connor's appointments, BetaShares' MD Alex Vynokur said: "The ETF industry is growing rapidly. We are committed to driving this growth, and being at the forefront of client service. Our new appointments will help us meet this commitment, and we welcome Chamath and Adam to the BetaShares team."
