Bennelong recruits account director

Bennelong Funds Management has appointed Nathan Masalski as account director to grow the company's distribution strategy in Victoria and Tasmania.

Masalski has 25 years of experience in the industry, managing client relationships and carrying out portfolio analysis.

He joins from Colonial First State, where he served as a manager of business development for investments for almost seven years.

Before that, he was director of sales at Legg Mason Global Asset Management.

Earlier, he spent eight years at AllianceBernstein, most recently as manager of institutional relationships.

Masalski has also worked at Henderson Asset Management HSBC as a portfolio analyst and HSBC Asset Management as a senior project manager.

He started his financial services career at UniSuper as an investment analyst.

Bennelong distribution head Jonas Daly said Masalski's industry knowledge and networks will be instrumental in expanding the business's relationships with advisers and investors in Victoria and Tasmania.

"Nathan's knowledge and experience in the local market will support Bennelong and our boutique partners as we focus on further building relationships in the wealth management area," he said.
