BennBridge appoints new CEO for UK and Europe

The multi-boutique investment firm - which operates Bennelong Funds Management in Australia - has appointed Robert McKillop as head of the group's UK and European business.

Based in London, McKillop will report to the global chief executive of the BFM Group, Craig Bingham.

He spent over a decade as global head of product and client solutions at the recently rebranded Abrdn (formerly Standard Life Investments).

McKillop joined Standard Life as a Japanese portfolio manager in 1997 from Scottish Amicable Investment Managers.

In 2002 he was promoted to head of Japanese equities before being made head of the Far East funds six years later.

In 2011 he was promoted to global head of product and investment specialists and two years later was appointed global head of product and proposition for Aberdeen.

Currently, he is the global head of product and client solutions.

Bingham said McKillop's wealth of global experience makes him a perfect fit to serve as head of BennBridge UK.

"Robert is a highly experienced and knowledgable leader in the funds management industry with exceptional global credentials," he added. "His expertise will be an invaluable asset as we focus on further expansion in the UK and European markets."

Commenting on the promotion, McKillop said he is looking forward to joining the experienced leadership team at BennBridge, the broader BFM Group, and working with the boutique partners.
