FPA names new Head of Policy

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) has promoted Ben Marshan to the role of head of policy.

Marshan was previously the FPA's professional standards advocacy manager, a role he was appointed to in December 2015. He has a further ten years' experience working with the FPA on member committees and working groups and spent nine years at State Super Financial Services (now StatePlus) as a financial planner and senior manager.

Marshan will work alongside recently-appointed policy manager Dimitri Diamantes, who commenced in the role in March 2016.

Commenting on the appointments, FPA CEO Dante De Gori said: "I'm delighted to have both Ben and Dimitri in our policy team. They are both CFP® professionals with a deep understanding of the intricacies and complexities of the financial planning process."
