Barry Lambert steps down as Countplus Chair

Countplus has announced that Barry Lambert will retire as chair of its board, effective immediately, but will remain a director in the short term.

His successor as chair is independent director Ray Kellerman who joined the Countplus board in January 2017.

In paying tribute to Lambert, Kellerman said: "Barry is without peer as founder of Count Financial and one of the pre-eminent leaders in the financial services sector in Australia. Barry flagged at the 2016 Countplus AGM that he would step down within the next 12 months."

He added: "The Board thanks Barry for his valued contribution to the company and wishes him well as he pursues his philanthropic interests together with his tireless effort in support of the introduction of medicinal cannabis in Australia."
