Avant adds to investment team

Former NRMA investment manager Jeremy Yap has arrived at Avant Mutual's investment team headed up by Craig Lamb.

Incidentally Lamb was appointed chief investment officer at Avant Mutual in May joining from AIA Australia, where he ran investment strategy

As investment head, he manages Avant's $2 billion investment book and leads the investments and treasury team.

Yap was a senior investment manager at the NRMA for more than six years.

He arrived there in 2016 via AMP Capital where he spent nearly two years as an investment solutions specialist.

For the previous seven years Yap was a consultant at JANA Investment Advisers.

He started working with the asset consultant in 2007 as an investment analyst and a consultant for the NSW Electrical Superannuation Scheme.

Before joining JANA,  Yap was a member of the MLC Graduate Program, where he spent most of his time within their retail financial planning group.

Earlier, he was a mortgage analyst with a Commonwealth Bank subsidiary.
