AustralianSuper's Sarah Burley, head of group strategy and transformation will take on the role of acting group executive for strategy, brand, and reputation following the retirement of Tony Cavanagh and a shuffling of responsibilities.

Peter Curtis has taken up the newly created role of group executive, finance and operations while Paul Schroder becomes the new chief risk officer, leaving the strategy, brand, and reputation role being filled by Burley.

AustralianSuper Chief Executive, Ian Silk, said the new appointments placed the organisation in a strong position to continue to deliver for members and prepare for its next phase of growth.

Burley has been with AustralianSuper since its inception in 2006.

Cavanagh retires after 30 years in the finance industry, the last 12 years spent with AustralianSuper.
